Attention all aspiring producers and seasoned remixers! DJ Deluxe is calling upon you to reimagine his legendary track, "The Man from Maggotty" in a thrilling new remix competition.
Alongside the upcoming official remixes EP featuring DJ Semah, Old Skool Junkies, Paul Bradley, Entheogen, Dave Skywalker and Fizby, Deluxe presents a new "Blueprint Mix", and this is your chance to put your unique spin on a classic from the Lazarus Hardcore stable and have your talent recognised by some of the biggest names in the breakbeat rave scene.
Download the sample pack, let your creativity run wild and transform this iconic tune into something truly unforgettable.
The winner will receive a bespoke single press of their remix onto vinyl, complete with their choice of any three other Lazarus Recordings remixes from over the years. This one-of-a-kind vinyl will feature original, bespoke artwork and be numbered 1 of 1. Additionally, the winning remix will get a full digital release on Lazarus Recordings, and the lucky winner will gain access to the entire Lazarus Digital Back Catalogue. Your submissions will be judged by a panel of expert ears: Paul Bradley, Dave Skywalker, and DJ Deluxe himself.
1. Download the remix sample pack by clicking this link, which includes WAV samples, MIDI files and the original track to provide the inspiration for your remix.
2. Create your remix, title it "The Man From Maggotty Remix Competition Entry" and upload it to RavePool before September 17th 2025. Any electronic music genre works! In addition, anyone who downloads your remix from RavePool will earn you income to your RavePool account!
1. Eligibility:
The competition is open to individuals aged 18 and over.
Employees of RavePool Ltd, Lazarus Recordings, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
2. Entry Requirements:
The WAV samples, MIDI and Original Track within this zip file are to be used solely for the purposes of this remix competition.
Remixes must be uploaded to RavePool with the title “The Man From Maggotty Remix Competition Entry” and the artist’s name. One entry will be accepted per artist.
Entries uploaded will be eligible for monetary income as per the terms and conditions of RavePool.
Remixes should not be posted or distributed on any other platform.
The deadline for uploading remixes is September 17th, 2025.
3. Submission Guidelines:
All entries must comply with the terms and conditions of RavePool.
By entering the competition, participants grant RavePool Ltd and Lazarus Recordings the right to use their remix for promotional purposes.
4. Judging and Prizes:
Remixes will be judged by DJ Deluxe, Paul Bradley and Dave Skywalker. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner will receive a bespoke single press of their remix onto vinyl, numbered "1 of 1", containing original bespoke artwork and complete with their choice of any three other Lazarus Recordings remixes.
The winning remix will get a full digital release on Lazarus Recordings, and the winner will gain access to the entire Lazarus Digital Back Catalogue.
5. Legal Considerations:
This competition is a game of skill and does not involve any element of chance. No purchase is necessary to enter.
You may use samples from other sources, however participants must ensure their remix does not infringe any third-party rights, including copyright.
By entering, participants agree to indemnify RavePool Ltd and Lazarus Recordings against any claims arising from their remix.
6. General Conditions:
RavePool Ltd and Lazarus Recordings reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice.
Any changes to the competition will be notified to participants as soon as possible by the promoters.
The promoters are not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any participant by any third party connected with this competition.
7. Privacy:
Personal data supplied during the course of this competition will only be processed as set out in the promoters’ privacy policy.
8. Governing Law:
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
