Artists Are The Lifeblood Of The Music Industry

We need to treat musicians fairer, and RavePool's mission is to ensure artists are nurtured, cared for, and encouraged to thrive.

To say we are passionate about improving the electronic music scene for artists is an understatement.

Back in the early 2020s, we saw how tech companies were taking over the music industry - and their interests weren't necessarily in supporting the creators. The lifeblood of our music scene.

So, we decided to do something about it. And here's how RavePool is different to other music services out there.

Your traditional music online store will take a cut of every track sold. This gets passed onto a distributor, who will take their cut - up to 30%. They will pass the remainder to a label who might take up to a 50% cut, and by the time it gets to the artist, they might see a third of what the track sells.

However, this is much better than streaming services, who will pay fractions of a penny for you to stream a track. And you don't even get to own it. This track could be removed at any time, lost to history. And the artists are making less than ever before, meaning the next club or rave anthem never gets to exist because the artist making it has had to make a choice to "heat or eat", and music time doesn't get a look in.

RavePool is our effort to flip the narrative. We charge the artists nothing. Nothing to upload. Nothing to share. Nothing to receive your revenue straight into your PayPal account (unless you're taking out very small amounts and even then it's pennies).

We do this by taking our subscribers subscriptions, take the 20% we need to keep the service going, and the remainder is divided and sent straight to the artist behind each track each user downloads. If a subscriber forgets to use the service we don't keep their money, we roll it into next months allocations - and so on. That's how one of our artists received £80 for one download early in 2025.

Every day we do this calculation for anyone whose subscriptions renewed that day, so every day our artists can review their revenue and can take out their earnings.

We firmly believe that artists deserve better than the status quo and cannot thank enough our subscribers who believe in us, support the service, and support our artists. Thank you.

Why Else Should Artists Use RavePool?

Full Control Over Your Tracks

You have complete control of your track at all times. Change/add title, promo text, genre, BPM, key, cover image, or even take your track offline, any time you like.

You can also manage multiple tracks at once - we don't hide multiple track uploading behind a paywall.

AI Track Analysis

Our engine - trained on thousands of tracks - looks for elements in your track (geek speak: we mean things like energy, spectral elements, loudness, spread, as well as the BPM and key) and use it to gauge how happy, moody, aggressive it is. Don't agree with us? Set your own ratings and help improve our model.

Multiple Artist Personas

You may be writing techno - and jungle - and house - and all sorts of music and want to have different artist names for each. You may even want to add music on behalf of other artists. No problem - you can have as many personas as you like all tied to your user account.

Clear Breakdowns

Want to see exactly how many times people previewed your track? How many downloads, and the royalties it's earned? No problem - it's available to see any time you like on screen without cumbersome exports (although you can still get printable versions if you wish!)

Receive Messages and Donations From Your Fans

If you allow it, people who follow you on RavePool can send direct messages, enquire about bookings for their events, and even send tips in the form of donations that appear alongside your royalties. Payments are available to use to help boost your track visibility, or move into your PayPal account immediately.

Use RavePool First

RavePool First is RavePools special exclusive flair that you can attach to your tracks, telling fans your track has been uploaded to RavePool before any other music platform. Besides looking cool, and telling people you care about our platform, we tend to feature First tracks on our social media platforms, giving further visibility to your latest release.

Split Royalties Directly With Your Collaborators

A requested and well used feature is the ability to split royalties with other RavePool users. Made a track with a friend and want to split the proceeds 50/50? Run a small label uploading tracks on others behalf and want to split things 60/40? 70/20? 94/6? Or running a charity release and want all the money to go to someone else? No problem. Choose where the royalties go and we'll send it direct into their account.

Share Your Music

When you upload music to RavePool, we post a clip of it to our Soundcloud page, saving you the effort and space on your own account, all you need to do is share it!

In addition, you can get public links to your tracks, artist profile, and any playlists you manage that when posted appear as previews on social media platforms.

Finally, we have a passionate and growing artists community - we've run events featuring artists and DJs on our platform, we tell the world about our artists and want to see them grow. Join us and be part of it!
